Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 March 2026

1. What is Revsta?

Revsta is an online marketplace that connects customers with local service providers (“providers”) across a range of trades and services, including plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, landscaping, hairdressing, building, and personal training. Revsta Limited (“Revsta”, “we”, “our”, “us”) operates the platform at revsta.co.uk.

Revsta acts as an introducer between customers and providers. We are not a party to any contract for services between a customer and a provider, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or completion of any work carried out.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the Revsta platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Revsta.

If you are registering as a provider, you also confirm that you have the legal right to offer the services you list, hold any required licences or accreditations, and are fully insured for the work you undertake.

3. User responsibilities

All users

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You must not use Revsta for any unlawful purpose, or post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or offensive.
  • You must not attempt to circumvent the platform by arranging payments outside Revsta to avoid our fees.

Customers

  • When you make a booking you are entering into a contract directly with the provider, not with Revsta.
  • You agree to pay the agreed price, including the deposit at the time of booking and the remaining balance on completion.
  • Reviews you leave must be honest, based on your genuine experience, and must not contain personal information about the provider beyond what is relevant to the service.

Providers

  • You must accurately describe your services, qualifications, and pricing.
  • You are solely responsible for the quality and safety of work you carry out, and for maintaining appropriate insurance and licences.
  • You must not create fake reviews or engage in any deceptive behaviour on the platform.
  • By listing on Revsta you agree to our platform fee (see section 4 below).

4. Booking and payment terms

When a customer confirms a booking, a deposit of 30% of the agreed service price is collected immediately via Stripe. The remaining 70% balance is due on completion of the job, payable through the platform.

Revsta charges a 6% platform fee on the total job value. This fee is deducted automatically from payments processed through the platform and covers our operating costs, payment processing, and customer support.

All prices displayed on provider profiles are indicative starting prices. The final price for a job is agreed between the customer and provider before work begins. Any changes to the agreed price must be confirmed through the platform before the work is carried out.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Revsta does not store card details.

5. Cancellation policy

Cancellation terms are currently at the discretion of the provider and should be agreed before booking. We are working on a standard cancellation policy that will be published here in due course.

If a provider cancels a confirmed booking, the customer will receive a full refund of their deposit. If a customer cancels, the provider may retain the deposit at their discretion unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Revsta is not responsible for resolving disputes between customers and providers arising from cancellations, but we will endeavour to assist where possible. If you have a dispute, please contact us at support@revsta.com.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Revsta is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

  • The quality, timeliness, or outcome of work carried out by a provider.
  • Any damage to property caused by a provider.
  • Loss of earnings, contracts, or business opportunities.
  • Indirect or consequential losses of any kind.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Revsta platform — including our logo, design, and written content — is owned by or licensed to Revsta and may not be copied or used without our permission. Content you upload (such as profile photos or reviews) remains yours, but you grant Revsta a licence to display and use it on the platform.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the site or sending an email to your registered address. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
